PUPPY RAISING
The puppies are born in a whelping box in our living room. The puppies stay in the whelping box for the first three weeks after birth. As soon as the puppies become more agile and have opened their eyes and ears, they begin to perceive their surroundings more and more. From this point on, they need more space and exercise, so we replace the whelping box with a separate puppy run/play area in our living room. This way, the puppies take part in our everyday life, get to know everyday noises, children and other dogs. At around 3 weeks, the puppies receive high-quality dry puppy food with a high meat content in addition to their mother's milk.
From the age of 4 weeks, the puppies can be visited by their new families by arrangement. At this point, the final decision is made as to which puppy will go to which new family. We advise the owners when making the final decision for a puppy, as it is important to us that the puppy's character suits its new family. The puppies and we naturally look forward to regular visits, during which the puppies can be cuddled and we can talk to the new owners about any open questions. When the puppies are 5 weeks old, they can explore our garden via a direct entrance. In doing so, they get to know different surfaces. It is important to us that the puppies can always be looked after not only by their mother, but also by us. That is why there is always someone with them who looks after them lovingly.

SOCIALIZATION
The socialization phase/imprinting phase takes place between the 3rd and 12th week of life. During this time, the puppies should get to know as many things/living things as possible that they will also encounter later in life. Because the puppies grow up in our house, they take an active part in our everyday life and get to know different everyday noises (vacuum cleaners, kitchen appliances, televisions, etc.) as well as people (especially children) and animals. In addition, we support the cognitive and motor development of the puppies by using different surfaces and toys (e.g. rattles, wobble plates, tunnels). We carefully introduce the puppies to new situations (fur and claw care, walking on a leash, driving in the car) so that they are as well prepared as possible for being handed over to their new families.
We keep the new owners updated on the puppies' development at least every two days with lots of photos and videos. The new families also receive professionally edited photos from an animal photographer who will photograph the puppies several times. This means the new owners can enjoy lasting memories of their darlings' puppyhood.
